Chris Canty Band Wins "Mix Fest Search"!

Last night the Chris Canty Band beat out seven other finalists to win Anthem Entertainment's and MIX 98.5's search for an opening act for MixFest at the Greatest Bar in Boston, MA.

The finale of this competition, which began with 40 local bands and unfolded over the past nine weeks at the Greatest Bar, was hosted by Gregg Daniels from Mix 98.5 FM. Mr. Daniels also served as a judge alongside a representatives from Rounder Records.

The grand prize was awarded to the Chris Canty Band, and consisted of two guitars from First Act Instruments of Boston, a meeting with Rounder Records executives, and a chance to play an upcoming Mix98.5 Concert Pre-Party live event/broadcast at the Greatest Bar.
