** 20,000+ Expected to Attend USO Benefit **
Anthem Entertainment is pleased to announce an exciting summer concert to benefit American soldiers. The highly anticipated military appreciation concert is scheduled for May 28, 2005 at the Coastal Premiere Fairgrounds in Savannah, Georgia. An estimated crowd of over 20,000 is expected to attend the day-long festival (10am to 8pm), including troops from Hunter Army Air Field, Parris Island and all across southeast America. Supporters include The White House, The Department of Defense, the Savannah USO Hyatt Hotels and dozens of local and regional businesses.
"I am so proud to be a part of this amazing event," says Chris Sinclair, Founder of Anthem Entertainment. "It is a time to put politics aside, and concentrate on what unites all Americans - our support of our troops, and appreciation for the sacrifices these men and woman make every day."
Anthem's concert goes beyond the call of duty. In addition to providing support, boosting morale and entertaining the thousands of soldiers recently returned from active duty (many from Iraq), all proceeds directly benefit the USO. In addition, Anthem plans to publicly honor Purple Heart recipients for their bravery and sacrifice.
More than just a concert, Anthem's exciting celebration provides a field day atmosphere of food, drinks, beer gardens and live entertainment to both troops and the general public. Country and rock music, specifically requested by the soldiers, will keep the festivities lively throughout the day.
This high-profile charitable event is the brainchild of many of the Anthem staff, including Lauren Pazzaneze, an Anthem intern, who has a close personal tie to the cause. "My fiancée, Sgt. Michael Baumgarten is currently on active duty in the 1st Ranger Battalion," says Pazzaneze, explaining her emotional connection to the event. "It is a trying experience to be without your loved one for months at a time, and through his experiences I have come to appreciate what Michael and his fellow soldiers endure. This is our chance to give back to the brave men and women of the military. I truly believe that Anthem's concert will touch the lives of these soldiers, their families, the musicians and everyone involved."
Anthem Entertainment is a Boston-based national marketing and event production agency. Anthem executes marketing and event projects in over a dozen cities nationwide, and this concert for the troops marks one of their largest events of 2005.
